Terms and Conditions

1. Scope and provider

These terms govern the use of recycling.place. The service is provided by AWL Zentrum Ltd, Basepoint Business Centre, Unit 34 John de Mierre House, West Sussex RH16 1UA, United Kingdom, reachable at info@awl-zentrum.de. Full details are set out in the legal notice. Any terms proposed by a user apply only if the provider agrees to them in writing.

2. What the directory is

recycling.place is a worldwide directory of recycling centres, waste collection points and other disposal facilities. Use of the directory is free of charge for anyone searching and does not require an account. No contract is formed through the use of the directory; there is no entitlement to its availability, completeness or any particular presentation.

3. What the information is good for – and what it isn't

Opening hours, addresses and details on what is accepted come from public sources: the directories published by the responsible authorities, OpenStreetMap and Google Business, as well as reports submitted by operators. This information can be outdated or incorrect. The responsible authority or operator is always the authoritative source. Before setting off, opening hours and acceptance conditions should be checked directly with them. No liability is accepted for wasted trips, fees or refused deliveries.

4. Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. In cases of ordinary negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and only up to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability is otherwise excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

5. Content, rights and use of the data

The text, design and compilation of the directory are protected. Location data from OpenStreetMap is provided under the Open Database License (ODbL, https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/); anyone who reuses it takes on the obligations of that licence. Systematically extracting data from the directory beyond ordinary use is not permitted.

6. Reports and corrections

Anyone who reports incorrect information, suggests or claims a listing, or submits a photo or a review, thereby confirms that the information provided is accurate and does not infringe the rights of any third party. The provider may review, shorten, publish or reject any submission; there is no entitlement to publication. A simple, unlimited right of use is granted for submitted information and photos, to the extent required to operate the directory.

7. Access for operators

The basic listing is, and will remain, free of charge. Paid access is not currently available for booking – there is no payment processing through which a paid contract could be concluded. Once this becomes available, the terms published at that time, including the statutory right of withdrawal notice, will apply.

8. Privacy

Details of what data is processed are set out in the privacy policy. It forms part of these terms to the extent that it concerns the processing of personal data.

9. Changes

These terms may be amended if the service offered or the applicable law changes. The version in force at any given time, together with its date, is published on this page. Continued use after a change is deemed acceptance for the future.

10. Final provisions

German law applies. If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays in force. This does not affect the mandatory statutory provisions applicable in a consumer's country of residence. The provider is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
