Terms for Businesses

1. Provider, scope, businesses only

The provider is AWL Zentrum Ltd, Basepoint Business Centre, Unit 34 John de Mierre House, West Sussex RH16 1UA, United Kingdom (Companies House 11973273, VAT GB323909011), operator of recycling.place ("we"). Our representative in the EU under Art. 27 GDPR and legal representative under Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 is AWL Zentrum SL, Psaje Peligros 3 1, Estepona, Spain.

These terms apply to operators of recycling centres, collection points and waste-management services ("operators") who claim, manage or book a paid package for their listing on recycling.place. They apply exclusively to business users, not to consumers. Before booking, the operator confirms they are acting as a business for their own operation.

The general terms of use apply in addition for use of the public directory. These terms are available at any time, including before a contract is concluded, at recycling.place/agb-betriebe (German original) and recycling.place/business-terms.

2. Free listing

Claiming and maintaining a listing is free. We review every registration manually and activate it once it is apparent the person is authorised to act for the business. Otherwise we decline it and state the reason.

Changed details (opening hours, phone, website, description) are published after review, marked "confirmed by operator". The operator's identity is visible via the business name and address in the listing.

3. Premium and Premium Plus packages

Premium: the listing appears in its town/municipality list ahead of listings without a package, is shown with emphasis, displays a logo, up to 5 photos and a short promotional text, and includes direct buttons for calling, website and directions. We do not show recommendations for other businesses on the operator's own listing page. The operator receives a report on views and clicks in the operator area.

Premium Plus: additionally placed ahead of Premium listings in the same town list.

Advertising (add-on, only together with an active Premium or Premium Plus package): the operator chooses an area — a radius of 25, 50 or 100 km around their business, their region, or the whole country. In that area we show a banner, marked "Ad", with name, logo or photo, promotional text and distance, linking to their listing, on lists and listing pages of the same category. The banner is never shown in the operator's own town list or on pages of businesses that themselves have a package. At most one banner appears per page. Advertising ends automatically when the Premium package ends.

Packages have no effect on region- or country-level lists; the normal order applies there.

We owe the described presentation, not a specific number of views, calls, bookings, or a search-engine ranking.

4. Ranking and labelling

In a town list we sort by distance to the town centre, then by name. Ranking can be influenced by payment: listings with a package appear ahead of others in their town list (Premium Plus ahead of Premium). Within a tier the order rotates daily. Paid listings are labelled "Ad". Reviews, opening hours and inclusion in the directory do not depend on payment. A detailed explanation is available at recycling.place/so-sortieren-wir. Advertising banners do not affect list order; they appear separately above the list and are labelled "Ad".

We do not operate any recycling centres or waste-management services ourselves and do not favour any listing except as described above through packages.

5. Prices and payment

The prices shown at booking apply, plus statutory VAT where applicable. Payment is made in advance for the chosen term (monthly or annual). Booking is not yet enabled on recycling.place ("coming soon"); this section applies once packages can actually be booked.

If a payment fails, we may suspend package features after an unsuccessful reminder; the free listing remains.

6. Term and cancellation by the operator

Packages renew automatically for the chosen term unless cancelled beforehand. The operator can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current term, via the operator area or by email to info@awl-zentrum.de. The free listing can be given up at any time without notice; it then remains as an unconfirmed listing in the directory, provided it contains publicly known information.

Once a package ends, the listing is shown again without a package. Amounts already paid for the current term are not refunded pro rata unless we failed to provide the service.

7. Restriction, suspension and termination by us

We may remove an operator's content, restrict its display, suspend packages or end the cooperation if (a) content is unlawful or infringes third-party rights, (b) information is clearly false or misleading, (c) the person is not authorised to act for the business, (d) the business has permanently closed, (e) payments remain outstanding despite a reminder, or (f) the operator materially breaches these terms.

We give reasons for a restriction or suspension by email no later than when it takes effect. We give at least 30 days' notice by email, with reasons, before a full termination, unless we are legally or officially required to terminate immediately or the operator has repeatedly breached these terms.

8. Content, moderation and reports

Operators may only post accurate information about their own business, and text, logos and photos they hold the necessary rights to. Unlawful, misleading or offensive content, advertising for other businesses, and identifiable people without their consent are not allowed.

Every piece of operator content is reviewed by a human before publication; we do not use automated decisions for this. If we reject or remove content, the operator receives a reason by email.

Anyone can report content they consider unlawful via recycling.place/inhalt-melden or by email to info@awl-zentrum.de. We confirm receipt and communicate our decision.

The central point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act is info@awl-zentrum.de.

9. Usage rights to content

Rights to text, logos and photos remain with the operator. They grant us a simple, royalty-free right, for the duration of the listing, to display them on recycling.place and in previews (search engines, shared links on social networks) and to adapt them technically (size, format).

The operator indemnifies us against third-party claims arising from content they supplied.

10. Data

The operator sees anonymous monthly totals of views and clicks in the operator area, and with Advertising, how often their banner was shown and clicked. They do not receive visitors' personal data; we do not collect such data for this purpose either.

After the contract ends, publicly known information remains in the directory; logos, photos and promotional text uploaded by the operator are removed from the page once the package ends.

11. Reviews

Paid packages have no influence on reviews. We do not remove or alter reviews at an operator's request, only under our own review rules.

12. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breach of material contractual duties, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract, capped at the fees paid in the current contract year. Liability is otherwise excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We announce changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email. The operator may cancel before the change takes effect.

14. Complaints and dispute resolution

Complaints go to info@awl-zentrum.de; we generally respond within 7 days. As a small enterprise under Recommendation 2003/361/EC, we are not required to set up a formal complaint-handling system or name mediators.

15. Final provisions

The law of England and Wales applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory provisions of EU law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, remain unaffected. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction; we may also sue the operator at their place of business.

If any provision is invalid, the remainder of the contract remains valid.
